Here’s the new Adidas commercial. While it’s not the greatest advert I’ve ever seen, it was produced by a single person, in an hour, with a budget of roughly... $20.

This ad was made by a Reddit user on their coffee break, using just two off-the-shelf AI tools (Midjourney and Runway ML).

What’s most interesting about this for me is that

a) we have no idea who produced it, and

b) there are zero gatekeepers - no major studio, no ad agency, no brand approval

I feel this opens up so many possibilities, questions, and challenges.

Where do you think this takes us next?

P.S. Shout out to Rex Woodbury who surfaced this from deep within a sub-Reddit.
