Writing and thinking

Bear for notes - everything starts there. Scrivener for anything long. Notion runs the actual business: tasks, contacts, finances, the content pipeline. Ghost for this site.

AI

Claude, mostly. The desktop app for thinking out loud, Claude Code in the terminal for anything that touches files, repos or admin. ChatGPT and Gemini for a second opinion. Cursor when I am building rather than writing.

Building

Cursor, GitHub, Vercel. Node and Bun.

Video and audio

DaVinci Resolve for the edits that matter, CapCut for the ones that do not. Descript for talking-head work and transcripts. MacWhisper for transcribing locally. OBS and Camo Studio for recording. ffmpeg for everything a nice interface makes difficult.

Design

Figma for almost everything now. Adobe Creative Cloud - Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere - for the things Figma still cannot do. Miro for workshops.

Running the day

Raycast. Granola for meeting notes. Fastmail. Notion Calendar. Slack, Signal, OpenPhone.
